Have you guys seen the new Vimeo!?

The amount of detail and polish that went into the new version is really astonishing. Also, they've got, by far, the best log-in screen on the Internet.

Here's my Vimeo profile, to get you started - http://vimeo.com/jeff

Some people may remember when I interviewed Bob Saget a few months ago for the hipster Jewish magazine Heeb. That interview is now up on Heeb Magazine's website. In the actual magazine, you'll find another piece I wrote about cartoon characters who I believe are Jewish.

This morning I realized I'm probably one of the few people who was really excited for both Ratatouille and Die Hard 4.

!!!!SUMMER MOVIE SNEAK REVIEWS WITH JEFF!!!!

I've been lucky enough to catch sneak previews for two movies I was very excited about.

Ratatouille - Great Pixar movie. None of the pop-culture references that were in Shrek, and even Cars. It feels like a classic Disney cartoon with lots of slapstick. It should go without saying, but it's yet another leap forward for Pixar visually. (disclaimer: I love every Pixar movie)

Live Free Or Die Hard - I was skeptical, but it won me over. Much of the over-the-top action from the trailer actually happens within the first act of movie, and it rarely slows down from there. Streeter accurately compared it to 24. Warning - this movie features h4ck3rs some of the most magical laptops since ID4.

There are only two kinds of years - those where you can't believe it's already winter, and those where you can't believe it's already summer.
Dressing your pet in silly clothes is completely unacceptable, unless that pet is a monkey.

Useless Inventions I Briefly Thought Were Good Ideas

Tiny Baking Pans - A tiny baking pan, so you can make only 2 or 3 brownies at a time. Unfortunately, most brownie recipes call for a full egg, and it's difficult to do a fraction of one.

Automatic Sandwich Maker - There are five tiny platforms, each cradled by a mechanical hand. You put your bread on the first, then veggies, then cheese, then meat, then another slice of bread and press a button. Within seconds, your sandwich is assembled. Unfortunately, you still have to put on your own condiments.

Wifi on the beach - Internet on the beach! Check the weather, sport scores, blogs, whatever. Unfortunately, it's difficult to see laptop monitors in the sun.
